Made from the leaf of a tree from Africa and Southeast Asia, moringa could become the hot new superfood of 2015. Or at least one of them.
Moringa can be mixed into yogurt or a smoothie for a tasty way to get seven times as much Vitamin C as oranges, twice as protein as plain yogurt and 400% more calcium than milk.
Equal portions of moringa provide 400% more Vitamin A than carrots. And this new superfood would be high on Popeye’s list, as moringa has 25 times as much iron as Spinach.
Moringa is sold in health food stores and online in bar form as well and powdered form.
